April 9, 2018 a reform to the SECOND TRANSITIONAL ARTICLE of NOM-016-CRE-2016, Quality specifications of petroleum products was published. This may seem like a minor reform but it cancels the temporary acceptance of foreign laboratory tests on petroleum products because CRE and ASEA had not yet accredited and approved Mexican laboratories for that testing. That has changed and is going to have an immediate effect on foreign petroleum products imported into Mexico.
