A reform to Section VII of Article
74 of the Federal Labor Law was published in the DOF
today. Section VII now reads, "The 1st of October every
six years, when it corresponds to the transmission of
the Federal Executive Power;”
It previously read “the first of December every six
years.”
This reform to article 74 was approved by Congress on
September 24 and was finally signed by the President and
published in the DOF to become law today.
That means tomorrow, October
1 is a national paid holiday. It takes full
effect tomorrow October 1, 2024.
We are updating our translation of the Federal Labor Law
and subscribers can download the new version later
today.
