1. Objetivo

1. Objective

La presente Norma Oficial Mexicana tiene como objetivo, establecer las características para la clasificación y la clave de designación de los Recipientes Intermedios para Graneles (RIG), así como las especificaciones generales de construcción y ensayos (pruebas), aprobación (certificación) y marcado de los mismos y las disposiciones relativas a su utilización, para proteger las vías generales de comunicación, la seguridad de sus usuarios, la salud de las personas y el medio ambiente.

The objective of this Official Mexican Standard is to establish the characteristics for the classification and the designation code of Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC), as well as the general construction and testing specifications (tests), approval (certification) and marking of the same and the provisions relating to their use, to protect the general means of communication, the safety of its users, the health of people and the environment.
